Secluded
Jonquet is not the kind of place you stumble upon — and that's precisely the point. Tucked beneath the dramatic cliffs of Cap Sicié, this naturist cove is reached by a steep pine-shaded trail in winter or by kayak in summer, when fire regulations close the coastal road. The reward for the effort is total: silence, wild beauty, and water so clear it seems to hover above the pebbles.
This isn't a beach for amenities or Instagram angles. It's a beach for disappearing — into the sound of the wind in the pines, the warmth of sun-heated stone, and the simple pleasure of having nowhere else to be.
Where the Cliffs Keep Secrets
Cap Sicié is one of the most dramatic stretches of coastline near Toulon — vertical rock faces plunging into deep blue water, with pine forests clinging to the ridges above. Jonquet sits in a natural notch in the cliffs, sheltered from wind and hidden from view. The water is deep, clear, and cool — perfect for a refreshing swim after the trail descent.
The cove is small, pebble-bottomed, and entirely without infrastructure. No kiosk, no lifeguard, no shade beyond what the pines and cliffs provide. You bring everything you need, or you do without. Most regulars prefer the latter.
Two Ways In, One State of Mind
Outside summer, you can drive the scenic Corniche from Fabrégas Bay, park at the marked lot about 1.7 km in, and follow the footpath down through the trees — roughly 15 minutes of steep but manageable descent. Good shoes are non-negotiable.
From June to September, the road closes for fire prevention. The alternative? A kayak or paddleboard from Fabrégas — a smooth 20-minute paddle along the base of the cliffs that doubles as a scenic warm-up for the swim ahead.

Mauricette's Tip
Jonquet rewards preparation and respects simplicity. Pack light, wear real shoes, bring more water than you think you'll need — and let the quiet do the rest. If you can paddle in, do: it's the smoothest arrival and the most beautiful approach.
