Off-Grid
There are beaches you find on a map, and beaches someone tells you about in a low voice. Jean Blanc is firmly the second kind: a tiny cove tucked between Le Lavandou and Aiguebelle, white sand and clear water, wild and gloriously off-grid. There's nothing here but the sea, which is exactly the appeal.
What to expect
A small, wild cove reached on foot down through the pines. No facilities, no crowds, just clear water and quiet. Bring everything you need and leave nothing behind.
Practical information
Getting there: about 50 minutes from the villa. Take the D559 east of Le Lavandou and park along the road just past Aiguebelle (free, limited).
Access: around 100 steps down through pine shade; wear closed shoes, flip-flops won't cut it.
Facilities: none. No toilets, showers, restaurant or rentals.
Best time: morning, for shade and a parking space.
Mauricette's Tip
Pack a picnic and plenty of water, and pair Jean Blanc with the easier sand at Saint-Clair or Pramousquier for variety.
